Sir,

It has been a long time since I remember last sending you a letter. Reading The United Irishman made me write to you again without much delay. First of all, I reckon if we have the same goal Tone, Davis, Mitchel, Lawler, Pearse and Connolly had—to break the connection with England—I think I have the right to call myself a Republican. Due to the Republican nature of Ireland at the moment, I think it’s worth explaining my point of view a little bit before continuing.
